There is a learning curve and our advice would definitely be to use SOURCE as your framework, for many reasons, but one of the most important reasons is that you only need to learn how to use a handful of stacks to do almost everything. You will however, need to invest some time learning how to use Stacks. New RapidWeaver Stacks users looking to move away from themes and willing to learn the secrets of building with a "do what ever you want" framework instead of a fixed layout theme. The Projects can act as a library of plug and play layouts and designs.

Note that in the Foundation & some Foundry Projects, there is extensive use of BWD (Big White Duck) stacks which are free to download and use. Various (BWD) & (S4S) free stacks are required in some Projects and these are detailed in the Product descriptions. All images, icons and local fonts are also included. The Projects and Templates are delivered as rw7 project files than can be read into RapidWeaver 8. SOURCE Projects, Templates or layouts will not work in Foundation, etc. Projects and layouts are not designed to be mixed between different frameworks. IMPORTANT - It is VITAL to check individual Project requirements. Minimum requirements are Rapidweaver 7 or 8 and Stacks, and you will need SOURCE, Foundry or Foundation - depending on the Project you choose.
